Sesca Group Oy, a provider and an integrator of automation and ICT systems, has acquired Flowhow Oy, a manufacturer of flow measurement sensors and armatures for energy and process industries. Flowhow was founded in 1982 and it is a market leader in measurement sensors worldwide.

Flowhow will operate as part of Sesca Energy business area and its products will be marketed and sold by its present brand names. The entire workforce of Flowhow will continue in their previous positions. Jorma Lehtonen, the founder and the managing director of Flowhow, will continue to manage the business operations.

With the acquisition of Flowhow Sesca expands its offerings for the manufacturing and energy industries with the flow measurement sensors and other armatures and devices designed for power stations. Flowhow complements Sesca’s strong know-how in designing, eletric drives and automation. The objective of both acquisition parties is to ensure the development and expansion of Flowhow’s products and services within Sesca.

Flowhow’s market share in flow measurement sensors is about 50 percent worldwide. 60 percent of the production is exported. Some of Flowhow’s customers are Foster Wheeler, Andritz, Metso, Neste Oil and Kemira.
