Sesca received 9 million euros in capital investment to grow and to expand to foreign markets

Varma and Lännen Puhelin become minority shareholders of Sesca

Sesca Group, a provider and an integrator of automation and ICT systems, today announced it has received app. 8 million euros in capital investment from Varma, the largest private sector pension insurer in Finland, and from Lännen Puhelin, a Finnish capital investor. In addition, the main owners and the top management of Sesca have made a one million investment in the company.

With the increase of capital Sesca supports its business strategy to grow and to expand to foreign markets. After the special issue of shares Varma owns 11,9 percent and Lännen Puhelin 7,1 percent of Sesca.

”Sesca has grown very rapidly and profitably in private ownership since its founding. We are about to move to a next level in our growth strategy and to expand to foreign markets. This requires funding from the capital investment market. We are pleased that Varma, the largest institutional investor in Finland, and Lännen Puhelin, a true expert in telecom industry, will be part of our team”, says Harri Niemelä, the Chairman of the Board of Sesca.

Sesca, founded in 2005, is an international growth company. It delivers and integrates ICT and automation systems and services for the telecommunication, energy production and process industries. Sesca’s revenue in 2007 grew 49 percent to 32 million euros. Profts grew 43 percent to 3,4 million euros.

Sesca forecasts its business continues to grow strongly during fiscal year 2008. The growth is based on Sesca’s strategy to focus on independent systems delivery and on unique vision of integration of ICT and automation systems.

Sesca employs approximately 650 professionals in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Czech Republic and Romania. Sesca’s immediate goal is to strengthen its foothold in Eastern Europe and to launch operations in China.
