ALMA MARKETING OY TO SUPPLY INTEGRATED ALMA® KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIFICATION AND AUTOMATION ENGINEERING TO RAUTARUUKKI RAAHE WORKS

The Sesca Group company Alma Marketing Oy will supply ALMA® electrification and automation engineering and documentation management tools for maintenance and engineering at Rautaruukki Oyj Raahe Works.

The extent of delivery includes ALMA® user licenses, training and commissioning services and transfer of existing electrification and automation documents and data to the new system as well as data linking to the new maintenance management system (MMS).

The ALMA® knowledge management system is based on modern applications especially suitable for distributed operations in engineering and maintenance. The efficient database management and the browser-based user interface are due to ensure easy, user friendly and agile operation of the system. Additionally the system is easily expandable.

The system at Raahe Works will be commissioned for project management during spring 2008 and later for maintenance and engineering operations during fall. The use of the ALMA® system will be extended to all units at Raahe Works before end of March 2009.

Totally there will be about 300 licensed system users, a part of those working with sub suppliers and partners in cooperation but outside the works.
