SESCA DELIVERS AN ANDI™ PROCESS ANALYSIS AND DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM TO THE PK3 PRODUCTION LINE AT STORA ENSO’S MILL IN VARKAUS
Sesca Solutions Oy is to supply an ANDI™ Process Analysis and Diagnostic system for the finishing processes on the PM3 line at Stora Enso’s Varkaus Mill. The system will be commissioned in December 2007.
The ANDI™ system helps to detect production bottlenecks by speeding up fault analysis and correction in potential cases of machine and equipment malfunctions.
The system delivery will cover production and control system data collection tools and the related monitoring and event reporting software for the mill’s new slitter-winder, core preparation, roll handling system and conveyors as well as for the existing packaging line,.

As a brand-independent supplier, we can offer our customers a single window to the systems of different machine manufacturers, the monitoring of the machinery’s performance and condition, and all of the related reporting,” says Jari Keränen, Business Manager at Sesca Solutions Oy.

Stora Enso's Varkaus Mill produces fine paper, directory paper, newsprint and core board on three paper machines and one board machine with a total annual capacity of about 620,000 tons of paper and board, plus 345,000 m3 of sawn wood products. The mill's annual wood consumption is approximately 2.3 million m3. The mill employs about 1,000 people.
