SESCA GROUP TO DELIVER AN INTEGRATED MACHINE CONTROL SYSTEM AND LINE DRIVES SOLUTION TO UPM RAUMA PAPER MILL
Sesca Solutions Oy has been chosen to modernize the winder automation and line drives at UPM-Kymmene Oyj, RaumaCell pulp drying line. The delivery integrates new machine controls, slitter positioning and line drives to the two-drum winder.
The new integrated solution will replace original non-integrated control systems. The objective of the modernization is to increase production capacity and roll quality at the winder. The solution improves as well the functionality and maintainability of the machine and line drive control.
The integrated automation solution will be implemented on Siemens S7 programmable logic control. The delivery includes also frequency converters and direct-current drives. The modernization will be commissioned in February 2008.
